- Total electricity generation is 1,005.3 TWh, up 6.6% month-on-month and 3.7% year-on-year
- Total renewable energy power generation was 308.6 TWh, up 2.8% month-on-month and 6.6% year-on-year
- Renewable energy ratio of electricity generated is 30.7%
< German electricity statistics for January 2022>
- Nuclear power generation was 2.9TWh, down 48.2% from the previous month and 51.0% from the same period last year, showing a significant change
- This reduction is a result of the suspension of three nuclear power plants during January 2022, in accordance with the German nuclear power plant phase-out plan by the end of 2022
